George Peddy Cuttino, educator and historian, was born 9 March 1914, in Newnan, Georgia, and died 4 October 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Swarthmore College (1935), University of Iowa (1936), Oxford University (1938) and did post-doctoral study at the Institute of Historical Research, University of London (1938-1939).
